Join Thrive Pediatrics

Thrive Pediatrics is a growing, independent pediatric primary care practice in Bellevue, Washington. We are building a small, high-quality clinician team focused on thoughtful medical care, strong relationships with families, clinical autonomy, and an exceptional experience for children.

We are seeking a part-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

PNP-PC certification is preferred, although qualified Family Nurse Practitioners with strong pediatric experience or training are welcome to apply.

We are looking for a clinician who combines strong clinical judgment with genuine warmth and connection with children and families. The ideal provider enjoys working with children across developmental stages and can adapt their communication, body language, and approach from infants and toddlers through adolescents.

Our practice emphasizes thoughtful care, longer appointments, family education, continuity, and longitudinal relationships rather than high-volume medicine.

About Thrive Pediatrics

Thrive Pediatrics is an NP-led independent pediatric primary care practice serving infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in Bellevue and the surrounding Eastside community.

Our model emphasizes:

  • Longer appointment times
  • Evidence-based clinical decision-making
  • Strong relationships with children and families
  • Newborn and infant care
  • Preventive and developmental care
  • Clinical autonomy
  • Direct collaboration between providers
  • A streamlined, provider-led practice model
  • Fewer handoffs and greater provider involvement throughout the patient experience

We intentionally operate differently from a large health system or traditional high-volume pediatric clinic.

Our staffing model is lean and provider-led. We do not use a traditional model in which an MA performs every aspect of patient rooming before handing the patient to the clinician.

Providers participate directly in patient flow and may bring patients to the exam room, obtain basic vitals when appropriate, prepare their workspace, and remain closely involved throughout the patient experience.

This model is best suited for clinicians who enjoy autonomy, hands-on care, flexibility, and being directly involved in building a growing practice.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric primary care including:

  • Well-child visits
  • Newborn and infant care
  • Acute and same-day sick visits

  • Referral coordination
  • Appropriate follow-up of laboratory testing, imaging, referrals, and clinical concerns

The selected provider will participate in a structured onboarding process with gradual panel ramp-up and collaborative case review as appropriate.

We value clinicians who:

  • Genuinely enjoy working with children
  • Can build trust with toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, and parents
  • Adapt naturally to a child’s developmental stage
  • Have strong clinical judgment
  • Communicate clearly with families
  • Know when to manage independently and when to seek input
  • Are clinically curious and evidence-based
  • Are coachable and receptive to feedback
  • Take ownership of follow-through
  • Are comfortable in a hands-on, provider-led workflow
  • Want to contribute to the growth of a small independent pediatric practice

Qualifications

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Washington State
  • National NP board certification
